Weight Gain and Hormone Imbalances: How Hormone Replacement Helps Women?

There are a number of studies, which show how hormones deplete with the menopause and how hormonal therapies can get your hormones to the normal levels again. However, the effects of hormonal treatments for women before or after their menopause are somewhat of a grey area.

Hormonal Therapies and The Health Of Women:

Since with so many health issues and the increase of cases that are related with the symptoms of menopause, there has been an increase in the use of hormone replacement therapies so that the women can get all the vital estrogen and progestogen boost up they want. With the help of the supplemental medications and hormone replacement therapy for women, many received the health benefit they wanted.

However, there are some concerns about the weight gain with the use of excessive hormonal treatments for the removal of menopausal symptoms.

Hormonal Treatments and Their Effects on Weight:

There has been a constant debate going on in order to understand the relation of hormonal therapies with the gaining of weight or the buildup of fat in the body with the help of hormones. It is a common fact that menopause plays a role in the weight gain for women and increases the level of fat, while causing a decrease in the muscles.

According to a study, which is popularly known as the “Rancho Bernardo,” not much weight different was seen in the women after 15 years of the HRT therapy. In the study, 671 women had been aged between the years of 65 to 94. Among them, 98% of the women were on conjugated equine estrogen (CCE). The replacement of hormones therapy was given to them. Oddly enough, women who were taking the hormonal treatments seem to have lost the weight instead of gaining it on.

However, women who had been between the ages of 44 and 54 were seen to have an increase in the percentage of fat in their bodies. They were taking conjugated equine estrogen or medroxyprogesterone acetate, but no HRT.

Prevention of Weight Gain in Women:

Often the weight gain problems are associated with the loss of hormones in the body, and not the supplemental medications and treatments that causes the hormones to level again. Testosterone is one hormone, which may have less importance in the female system, but it is still made in the body from the ovaries until menopause causes it to stop. The lack of testosterone hormone in the body may also be a cause of increase of body weight.

Estrogen therapy has affects on women and helps in the reduction of fat and overall body weight. It has also been said as the primary source of providing help from the menopausal symptoms and puts a halt in bringing the bulging belly, a result of menopause.

A study in which 788 women went under observation for three years showed that women on the placebo treatments, including CEE and MPA or CEE and real progesterone, gained more weight than the women on HRT treatments. In addition, other studies support these results too.

How to Treat Male Pattern Baldness

male pattern baldness treatmentIf you are a man who is losing hair and seeing more of your scalp than you’d like to, we can understand the emotional trauma it can cause to you. However, you are not alone; millions of men lose hair because of male pattern baldness, also known as androgenic alopecia. One out of three men in UK develops some type of balding. Hair transplant surgery is expensive and lengthy and this leaves men with only a few other options to treat hair loss.

Most men suffer from hair loss because of a genetic condition known as androgenic alopecia. These men have an excessive supply of 5-alpha reductase that transforms testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. This causes hair follicles to become shorter and finer. These hair follicles become incapable of producing new hair, leading to hair loss. Some men are comfortable with baldness and some are not. Some men try to use caps and hats to conceal their bald scalps, while some try to reverse hair loss and grow new hair with treatment.

While modern treatments of hair growth are under development, drugs such as Propecia has helped millions of men stop hair loss and regrow new hair. Medically, this drug is known as finasteride and it is specially designed for men who are suffering from androgenic alopecia. This medication works by preventing the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone. Always consult a doctor before using this drug. Before taking this drug, inform your doctor if you have a liver or kidney problem. Use this drug as prescribed by the doctor and this will get you the best results.

HOW TO MAKE SUDDEN REDCUTION IN WEIGHT BY USING PHENTERMINE

There are weight trainers who use a variety of drugs in combination with their diet supplements for reducing their weight. The drug  phentermine is also used for weight loss, but is not recommended for use without medical supervision.  This is because of the nature of the drug which has severe side effects for prolonged use. The doctors use it after studying the patient’s physical condition and well being. The patient also should not be allergic to the drug or any ingredient in the drug. The drug should not be used in combination with antacids or guanadrel.

The drug is belonging to the class phenethylamine and is a psycho stimulant. It means that the drug could produce hypnotic effects.  The drug works on the part of the brain which is called the hypothalamus and releases neurotransmitter which then sends a signal for the release of hormones which help in the breaking down of the stored fat cells in the body. This action is the basic one which makes the body to lose its feeling of hunger. The appetite suppression through the release of the fat cells stored in the body is very effective. But the prolonged use of the drug is dangerous. The drug produces severe side effects like tachycardia, headaches, elevation of blood pressure, dryness of mouth and dizziness.

Some of the people may also experience irregularities in bowel movement and constipation because phentermine interferes with the intestines. People who are ready to undergo treatment should be careful in getting tested for allergic reaction to any of the medication. The patient should also be in a calm state when the treatment is begun.
